Image.stats#

property Image.stats: dict[str, Any][source]#

Pixel value statistics

Returns:

statistics dictionary; for greyscale keys are min, max, mean, sdev, median, nnan, ninf; for color images returns a dictionary mapping plane name to that same dictionary

Return type:

dict

Note

  • Returns statistics as a dictionary and does not print.

  • NaN values are ignored for scalar statistics and reported via nnan and ninf counts.
